A Little About Myself.I am a Brazilian ecologist and National Geography Explorer interested in tropical forest ecology, with emphasis in plant ecophysiology and tropical ecosystems sensitivity/responses to environmental change.
I hold a master’s degree in Ecology from the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA, Brazil), a PhD in Ecology and Climate Change from the University of Leeds (United Kingdom) and bachelor in Biology from the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ, Brazil). I am currently a postdoc research fellow at Uppsala University, Sweden, where I was awarded the King Carl XVI Gustaf Foundation's prize for outstanding early-career researchers. I am also mother of three years old twins and I hope to contribute to enhance the visibility and broaden the space for women, mothers and researchers from the Global South in Science. |
